Transparency Index – Issue 27

The goal of our Transparency Index is to show generally how the magazine’s financials work. Tahoma Literary Review charges submission fees, and pays its writers and staff. With the Transparency Index we want to share in part how—or whether— those balance out.

Issue 27 is the magazine’s second all-online issue, so our finances may be settling into a new, post-hard copy normal. Revenues from hard copy sales have dwindled, as have the related printing expenses. Costs to support the new website have increased. Overall, there is a positive number on the bottom line.
